Role of LHDs in Community Wellbeing
What is it?
Local Public Health Departments (LHDs) have a crucial role in understanding and impacting their communities’ physical and mental wellbeing. Being a trusted voice and partner, LHDs of any size and capacity can utilize their public health expertise and programs to strengthen behavioral and mental health efforts in their community. The resources provided here will help guide LHDs to explore their ability to address the behavioral and mental health needs of staff, clients, and the community.
