Health Departments Host Community Baby Showers to Connect with Young Families

The Leavenworth County Health Department held its fourth annual Baby Shower in July. Meanwhile, Doniphan County is planning its first community baby shower. Doniphan County Health Department Administrator Sheryl Pierce said organizing a community baby shower is a requirement for their new Maternal and Child Health home visitor’s completion of the Safe Sleep course.
